THE PREMIER DESIGN AND REMODEL PLAN
Before listing this home, the real estate agent provided the seller with a price for this home without design and remodel updates of $490,000. Our Premier Design and Remodel Lead designer, Lisa Ward, recommended updates to increase the value and help the home sell more quickly which totaled $20,000. Updates to the home were designed to increase demand from buyers and reflect today’s styles and trends. For this home, the kitchen was extremely dark, so the main focus was to brighten up the space. We painted the entire home with a fresh new paint in a light neutral color. We painted the kitchen cabinets white and added a whimsical tile backsplash. The wow factor for this kitchen was adding a leathered gray granite to the perimeter cabinets and a bright white quartz countertop to the island. This created contrast and a focal design point. We removed an overwhelming heavy light fixture from above the island and added several recessed can lights.
The update included:
- Full interior paint
- Painted kitchen cabinets
- Added new tile backsplash
- New granite and quartz counters
- New tile backsplash
- New can lights
- New faucets and hardware
- Master bathroom refresh
